Alicia (Red) Campitelli was brutally taken from the world on May 15th, 2021 in Merritt Island, Florida. Her fiancé Philip Keller has been arrested on May 20th and charged with First Degree Premeditated Murder, Grand Theft, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Tampering with Evidence. The announcement was made by Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey. For more information on the arrest, visit BCSO website.
Many friends, family, and loved ones are relieved and grateful that justice will be served, yet saddened to feel the reality of such a big loss in our community.
Red was proudly over 5 years sober and she was an advocate for recovery. She was well loved in the community but she inspired many people outside of the Space Coast as well.
Many people have reached out about making donations to the family. Because this tragic situation is becoming national news, we have decided to set up a GoFundMe page as we have seen others collecting donations. Please be careful when making donations. The intention is to keep just this one set up, therefor there should not be any other accounts requesting donations. This is the official account, approved by the family. Please respect the family and their privacy during this difficult time.

The family plans to use these funds to continue Red’s legacy through recovery support and children’s charities in Red’s name. Red always had the biggest heart and she cared about everyone.
#RedSTRONG #JusticeForRed

Red was interviewed on Blu Dream Health Collective podcast in 2020 about her 4 year anniversary of getting clean. She helped and inspired many others to do the same.
She was a ray of sunshine and had a heart of gold. Red always saw the best in others and cared for everyone. Her legacy will live on within all of the hearts she has touched over the years. Many of us will forever mourn the loss of Red, but she would have wanted everyone to be as strong as she was.
Stay strong for Red.

Sending everyone who she loved my deepest condolences…she was so special and this is so heartbreaking. Justice for Red 💔
Beautifully written Misti. 🙏😔❤️
Beautifully written! I quickly realized this was the same beautiful, strong woman that you did an interview with recently that I had seen on your FB page. It’s weird how things work out. The communication (“MIScommunication”) we had on FB led to me getting to have a small personal online encounter with Alicia. And it allowed me to express some stuff to her that I normally would keep private and not share on social media. I’m grateful for that special, brief interaction, even if it did come about in a bizarre way with a “social media misunderstanding/faux pas”. I think you, Misti, know what I’m referring to. Regardless, I am so saddened to hear of her horrific and tragic passing. She was a victorious warrior and she will always be remembered as that. She will remain to be an inspiring soul. Thank you for giving us the chance to get to know her, in a way, through your podcast/interview.
